How to Set-Up Yprac CS2 Practice Tools – Step-by-Step Guide

1. Download Yprac from Steam

Download the essential Yprac assets from the Steam Workshop. Follow this link to the Yprac Hub by Yesber and click “Subscribe” to begin.

Note that this new addon is only 150 MB and - together with the companion - it enables custom game modes on both ALL official maps and ALL custom workshop maps!

2. Get the Yprac Companion App for CS2

The new app helps you track your settings, log results, and measure your performance using stats and leaderboards. Follow this link to download the new CS2 companion!

The client will give you access to more maps and modes, deeper analytics and statistics and early access to new features as they are developed.

3. Add the -condebug Launch Option

To allow the client to automatically read your in-game settings and results, add the -condebug launch option in your Steam client before launching CS2. For detailed instructions, refer to the How to CS2: Launch Options guide.

4. Enter the Yprac Hub

With the hub installed and the game launched, press PLAY, open the WORKSHOP MAPS tab and then locate the Yprac Hub by Yesber workshop item.

Press the GObutton at the bottom right to launch the map. Remember to use the filter to the left if you have trouble finding it. The console command to launch the map is map_workshop 3070715607 _yprac if you prefer to use the console.

5. Play any practice mode

The new Yprac Hub has a lot of different modes to offer on a wide variety of maps. Aim and shoot the onscreen options to select a practice routine from the in-game menu. You can also change between maps from this menu - if you've downloaded the client - and get started with a scenario or workout from the Home page.

Yprac Setup FAQ

Frequesntly asked questions about the Yprac Client Setup:

1. What’s the difference between Demo, Free, and Premium? ▶

Demo: Workshop-only. No client. Limited features.
Free: Client installed + connected. Core features with limits.
Premium: Client installed + connected. All features with no limits.

2. The client doesn't recognize my steam library path? ▶

Your Steam library path is not necessarily the same as your Steam install path. If you changed your Steam library location (e.g., moved games to another drive or created a new library folder), make sure you enter the library folder that contains your CS2 installation, not the default Steam folder.

3. I get file permission error when writing modes to path? ▶

If CS2 or Steam is installed on another disk/partition (or inside a protected folder), Windows permissions may block writing. Try to set the client to run as administrator.

4. The client says the map is not found, even though my paths are correct? ▶

Start the Yprac Hub at least once so the required files get installed and updated, then try again. Also make sure you've followed this Setup Guide and that your paths are correct.

5. When launching the in-game Hub there's a black screen and the map never loads? ▶

Set the -condebug launch option before starting the game. Also make sure you've followed this Setup Guide and that your CS2 path is correct.

6. Will the client get me VAC-banned? ▶

No. Yprac only uses supported mechanisms to communicate with CS2 and will not harm your account status. The client is signed and trusted and has been used by 140,000+ players during 7+ years.
