Hey everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your support of Yprac and share some thoughts given the seemingly impending engine update.

For those who don't know my name is Jesper Edström, I'm a computer science major and during the last 5 years I've designed, implemented, and maintained the Yprac maps, the yprac.com companion site, and the Yprac desktop client.

My intention has been to make the Yprac platform accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. While I offer a premium version of the service with additional benefits, most features are provided for free and can be used by anyone.

If you make use of the service regularly and feel you’re able to pay for a subscription, then I hope you will consider becoming a member, knowing that there's no risk in doing so. If you no longer find Yprac valuable, you can email support@yprac.com to get a refund on your last payment, no questions asked.

Premium supporters make Yprac possible, and they allow me to invest more time toward new features and benefits for all users. I'm committed to providing a valuable training platform for the CS community, and I feel very fortunate to have developed an audience that is willing to support my work.

As you may have heard, Valve has been working hard on updating the Counter-Strike engine to Source 2. This is a major update and has the potential to improve the gameplay experience for everyone who uses Yprac. We don't know any details yet, but I expect the existing maps to still work for quite some time after the update, considering how Valve handled the Dota 2 Reborn update back in 2015.

Whatever the Counter-Strike update entails, I plan to update the platform to take advantage of the new features and improvements. Once I know the scope of the update I will be able to make a decision on whether it is more reasonable to make new modes or to move existing functionality. Regardless, I will improve both the general practice methods, like the aim trainer and recoil trainer as well as adapt the map-specific guides for Source 2. It will require some work on my end, but I believe it's worth it, to provide the best possible training platform.

In the meantime, I'll keep a close eye on the beta release and any updates from Valve. I'll of course keep in touch with you guys, through Discord and Twitter, to stay informed about any changes or issues. Please keep sharing your feedback and suggestions.

Thank you again for your support of Yprac. Last month the Yprac Aim Trainer alone had over 100,000 new unique users, which is absolutely staggering. It is one of the biggest aim trainers in the world and I can't thank you enough. Let's continue to work together to make Yprac the best Counter-Strike training platform!

All the best,

Yesber
